Liisa Adele (Rupert) Rush, aged 49, of Grand Rapids, left this earthly realm on 14 October 2013 from accidental injuries and was welcomed into Jesus’ loving arms. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Edward Rupert. She is lovingly remembered by her sons Adam Elliott Rush and Zyan Matthias Rush; her mother, Maria DeLugt Kocsis; brother, Jon Rupert; special friend, Doug; former husband, Mark Rush; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, niece, and friends. Liisa was born on 31 March 1964, leaving the world a more beautiful place. Her compassion and imagination ennobled everyone she encountered. As a loving and dedicated mother, an accomplished artist, an engaging educator, and compassionate soul, her passing has left an abrupt end to the trail of beauty she was forging by way of her imaginative expression, intense curiosity, and love for life. Overflowing with ideas, Liisa was developing myriad plans. She was an explorer with a rich mentalscape which she nurtured in the natural world. In these sacred spaces she unified her remarkable artistic talent, mental acuity, spirituality, emotional vibrancy and physical well-being and channeled them into all areas of her life. Overall, Liisa was a selfless individual who always put others first and sought the best for everyone.
